Council has a role to play in creating an environment conducive to active transport, particularly through provision of infrastructure, planning and development, and in co-ordinating advocacy and awareness in partnership with health services. 

This policy aims to provide clear direction for Alternative Waterwise Naturestrip Treatments in urban and rural settings. This policy is implemented through the Guidelines on Swan Hill Rural City Council’s website.

Council seeks to achieve community engagement and an understanding of Council’s operations by conducting its affairs openly and with integrity. Transparency in our decision-making and accountability are core values of Council, reflecting high levels of good governance.

This report provides information to a variety of audiences including community groups, businesses, ratepayers, visitors, investors, government agencies and other interested stakeholders.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure a consistent and transparent approach to the naming of Swan Hill Rural City Council’s (Council) infrastructure assets.

This policy applies to all building and development works carried out within the municipality that may have an impact of Council’s physical infrastructure and covers the protection of all Council assets within the road reserve or Council easement.

The Central Murray Regional Transport Strategy has drawn on existing studies from local to State level and consultation across the region. It seeks to provide an evidence-based framework for ensuring a ‘fit for purpose’ transport network for the region, now and into the future.

This policy sets out Swan Hill Rural City Council’s (Council) approach to managing Chief Executive Officer (CEO) performance and remuneration in accordance with Section 45 of the Local Government Act 2020. This policy also provides guidance to Councillors on the management of the life cycle of the CEO’s employment including recruitment.

This policy provides a framework to ensure Swan Hill Rural City Council (Council) staff, contractors, volunteers, and suppliers promote public safety in our transport activities and manage compliance to our Chain of Responsibility obligations.

The policy sets out Council’s position to ensure compatibility and compliance with the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 (the Charter).
