Event Support Fund

Council recognises how events help our community and local economy.

Through the Event Support Fund, we assist new and existing events that bring social and economic benefits to our area.

Council support may consist of:

  • Logistical Support (In-kind)
    Provide information or advice, provision of signage, traffic management, park/reserve preparation, cleaning, etc.). and/or
  • Event Sponsorship (Financial)
    Provide financial assistance to eligible applicants that satisfy the funding criteria.

Discuss your event with Council

We recommend discussing your event with Council’s Economic Development Team before applying.

  • They can help answer questions and confirm eligibility.
  • If the event is held on Council-owned or managed land, they can also begin the Event Management Approval process.

Funding streams and applications

The Events Support Fund has four levels of funding

  • Funding$2,000 to $10,000
  • Agreement3 years
  • RoundsOpen every 3 years

Event Partnership Grants support regular community and medium-sized events that are key features of the Swan Hill Region events calendar.

How to apply

This grant is available by invitation only.

Successful applicants will enter into a contract arrangement with Council and receive funding each financial year for a three-year period.

  • Agreement12 months
  • RoundsOpen July until funds expended

Major Festival and Event Grants support large-scale events that significantly enhance the local community and the region’s reputation.

How to apply

To apply, organisations must first submit an Expression of Interest outlining the proposed event.

If the event meets the criteria, the organisation will be invited to submit a full application.
