Container Deposit Scheme

The Victorian State Government’s Container Deposit Scheme has arrived in Swan Hill and Robinvale. The Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) rewards consumers with a 10-cent refund for every eligible drink container that they return.

Safety on-site

Safety procedures at our landfills and transfer stations are in place for everyone’s protection. Safety guidelines and signage must be obeyed at all times.

  • Obey speed limits, signs and staff instructions
  • Wear enclosed footwear. It is also strongly advised that you wear suitable personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and safety glasses
  • Children and pets must stay in your vehicle at all times
  • All Council landfill and transfer station sites are non-smoking
  • Engage hand brake whilst parked at the transfer station
  • Waste must be placed into the correct skip bin
  • Do not enter the skip bins for any reason
  • Do not climb on gates or fencing
  • Gates are to remain closed at all times
