As part of Robinvale’s centenary celebrations, the Robinvale Community Library is hosting a unique historical display that invites the community to explore the town's rich past.

Swan Hill Rural City Council Libraries Manager, Camille Cullinan said the exhibit features rare items from Council’s Records Department.

“The display will provide an intriguing glimpse into Robinvale’s early years, including its landowners, development, and expansion.

“Among the treasures on display is the 1924-25 rates book, showcasing prominent landowners of the time, and detailing their town of residence.

“Also featured are detailed maps of the township, displaying early block ownership and documenting the gradual expansion of Robinvale over the decades,” Ms Cullinan said.

Ms Cullinan said it was a fantastic opportunity for all residents, particularly our older community members who may not have visited the library, to reconnect with Robinvale’s history.

“It’s a chance to reminisce and celebrate how far our town has come over the last century,” she added.

The display will be accessible during regular library hours, and for those attending the Robinvale College tour on Friday, 25 October, the library will be included in the itinerary, providing additional opportunities to explore this special collection.

“Whether you’ve been a longtime resident or are newer to the community, this display offers a unique way to celebrate Robinvale’s journey and the people who have shaped it over the last 100 years,” Ms Cullinan said.
