Community Feedback Sought on Draft Masterplan
Published on 20 February 2025
Council is seeking feedback from stakeholders and the broader community on the Draft Masterplan for the Swan Hill Showgrounds, Sport, and Recreation Precinct.
At the February Council meeting, it was moved to share the Draft Masterplan with stakeholders and the community to gather feedback over a six-week period.
Council’s Mayor, Cr. Stuart King, is encouraging community members to review the Draft Masterplan and share their input.
"We are very eager to hear the community's thoughts on the Masterplan, which has been developed based on feedback from stakeholders and the wider community.
"Over 400 submissions were received during consultation last year so we understand there is significant community interest in this public space in the heart of Swan Hill,” said Cr. King.
Cr. King emphasised that the Swan Hill Showgrounds, Sport and Recreation Precinct is a valuable asset in our municipality. He urges everyone to take the time to review the Masterplan and provide their feedback.
"We are at a crucial stage in the consultation process, and it is essential for both user groups and community members to offer their feedback.
There may be ideas that have not yet been considered, and we welcome this input," added Cr. King.
Community consultation is open for six weeks, from 19 February to 2 April. Members of the community can access the draft by visiting the Council’s Let’s Talk page. https://letstalk.swanhill.vic.gov.au/swan-hill-reserve-masterplan
