Drinking in public spaces

Drinking alcohol in public places is prohibited in many parts of our municipality. A public place can include a road, footpath, public reserve or park.

Prescribed areas with alcohol restrictions in public places:

  • Beverford – Alcohol prohibited between 9pm to 10am
  • Lake Boga – Alcohol prohibited between 9pm to 10am
  • Manangatang – Alcohol prohibited 24 hours a day
  • Nyah – Alcohol prohibited between 9pm to 10am
  • Nyah West – Alcohol prohibited between 9pm to 10am
  • Robinvale – Alcohol prohibited 24 hours a day
  • Piangil – Alcohol prohibited between 9pm to 10am
  • Swan Hill – CBD – Alcohol prohibited 24 hours a day
  • Swan Hill – not in CBD – Alcohol prohibited between 9pm to 10am
  • Ultima – Alcohol prohibited between 9pm to 10am
  • Woorinen South – Alcohol prohibited between 9pm to 10am

Report an issue to Council

If you have you noticed alcohol being consumed in public areas where it is prohibited you can report the issue to Council for investigation.
