Robinvale - Villers-Bretonneux

Villers-Bretonneux Military Cemetery

Villers-Bretonneux was adopted as the twin town of Robinvale in 1984/85 although the first contact visits, including a youth exchange, were made in late 1970s.

The two towns are of similar size and both rely on horticulture as their principal economic activity.

The relationship was inspired by the death of Lieutenant Robin Cuttle MC, resident of Robinvale, killed near Villers-Bretonneux in 1918 during the First World War.

Frequent visits take place between the two towns and a close relationship has developed between the people of Robinvale and Villers-Bretonneux.
