Customer Liaison Officer

Temporary full time position based in Swan Hill.

Applications are invited for the position of Customer Liaison Officer to assist in the development and delivery of a business critical service to ensure that customers’ expectations on service delivery are exceeded.

Key Responsibility Areas include:

  • The development of information stores and processes to improve Swan Hill Rural City Council’s customer interactions which will involve significant contact with customers, via various communication channels
  • The ownership and delivery of a personal level of customer service which will be aimed at exceeding customer expectations.
  • The identification and development of escalation processes to quickly resolve any issues that may result in a dissatisfied customer.
  • During selected times proactively monitor customer enquiries to ensure Council’s compliance and receive and log all enquiries in the Council’s Customer Request system

Applicants will need a good understanding of at least two years experience in the provision of customer focussed services.


Attracting approximately $30.73 per hour, in addition superannuation is paid at 10.5%. This is a temporary full time position for 6 months within Council.
