Nathan Itter was born and grew up in Kerang. At 21, he moved to Melbourne for work, becoming an actor and cabinet maker.
In 2016 he was diagnosed bowel and liver cancer, and survived to tell his story in the hope of helping others.
Within the covers of his ‘My biggest win’ is the story of Nathan’s journey after hearing the words ‘you have cancer’. He takes the reader through the various stages of treatment, narrating the mental anguish and uncertainty he goes through, and the positive attitude he adopts.
His book is an inspirational read for anyone experiencing cancer or any other life challenge. It illustrates how, with a positive attitude, a return to normal life is achievable.
Nathan’s parents are now Swan Hill locals, and are proud that their son is heading here to tell his story and talk about his book.
