Ever held your breath as you watch an aerial acrobat tumble down a rope? Or marvelled at the strength and poise of a circus artist?
You can experience this thrill, this amazement right here in Swan Hill this March when One Fell Swoop Circus visits with their new show – By A Thread.
This Melbourne-based contemporary circus troupe helps audiences experience the fine balance of joy and risk that comes with group acrobatics.
The Town Hall’s Greg Hordacre said the versatility of the performing arts centre allowed it to be transformed into a venue for daring circus performances.
“The whole show is on one apparatus – a 30 metre long rope purchased from a sailing supplier and two industrial pulleys usually used in construction,” he said.
“The action takes place from ground level to eight metres up, with acrobats swinging, throwing, catching and climbing each other. And all without nets or other supports.
“It is such a thrill to bring this unique, modern take on circus performance to Swan Hill.”
This all ages show is sure to be popular, so book now.
