Friday, 31 August – Sunday, 14 October 2018.
The People’s Museum is about memory and mementos, family history, mythology, tall tales, and yarns. It’s about your grandmother’s biscuit tin, the kitchen scales you were weighed in when your mum gave birth to you at home, a salvaged item from a burning house, your uncle’s war medals, and the badge from your first car.
The People’s Museum has been a popular annual inclusion in the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery program since 2016. Curated by Kim Bennett from Regional Arts Victoria, this group show is about the interesting connections between people, objects and stories.
Visit the exhibition, share your stories, and keep and eye on the gallery facebook page for special events.
