Senior Revenue Officer

Full-time position based in Swan Hill.

Applications are invited for the position of Senior Revenue Officer within the Customer Services and Revenue department of Council.

The position coordinates the daily operation of the Customer Services and Revenue section, ensuring that all due revenues are correctly identified, levied and collected, in compliance with relevant statutes and Council policy. A high quality level of knowledge is required to administer the rating, voting and special rate provisions of the Local Government Act 1989. Statutory requirements under the Valuation of Land Act 1960, the State Concession Act 1986 and the Fire Services Property Levy Act 2012, are also required to be fulfilled.

Applicants require well developed oral and written communication skills, a working knowledge of accounting practices, a sound knowledge of property ownership maintenance, a detailed knowledge of administration procedures, along with supervision and conflict resolution skills. The incumbent must also be able to work effectively and efficiently in a pressured and at times demanding environment.

A current Police Check is required for this position.


Attracting approximately $75,800 per annum, this is a permanent full time position within Council, however days and hours of work may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
